About the Artistic Directors
REBECCA MOYER and KATIE KASARI met as dance majors at DeSales University, where they choreographed and produced several concerts together. Having both settled in the Philadelphia area, they decided to collaborate once again, and after a two-night sold out premier concert, Vada was born. Rebecca and Katie envisioned the collective as a way to create choreography and performance opportunities for local dancers and artists, so they maintain a large company of 8-10 dancers and frequently feature guest artists in their performances.
Rebecca holds a B.A. in Dance and a B.A. in Business Management from DeSales University and a M.F.A. in Dance Choreography from State University of New York-Purchase College. She is currently an instructor at DeSales University, and Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts.
Katie has a B.A. in dance from DeSales University, and is currently a certified Zumba instructor. She is on the staff of the Studio of Dance and Performing Arts in Newtown, PA and Dance 360 in Willow Grove, PA, and also teaches at Optimal Sport Health in Center City Philadelphia.
